The Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be continued till 9 June 2020, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced on Sunday (10 May).
He said that despite many positive strides in the fight against COVID-19, we are still not free from the threat of the virus.
As such, the government, on the advice of Health Ministry and National Security Council, has decided to extend CMCO for four more weeks.
Movement between states are still forbidden. People are not allowed to return to their hometowns to celebrate Hari Raya, Hari Gawai and Pesta Kaamatan.
"This doesn't mean you can't celebrate Hari Raya, Pesta Kaamatan or Hari Gawai. You can still visit closest neighbours and family living within the state," he said, adding that this was only allowed if the crowd is smaller than 20 people at a time.
