It’s always awkward being caught red-handed doing something that you shouldn’t do.

When faced with such a situation, all you usually want to do is hide from all that attention.

This was exactly what a baby elephant in Thailand did after being caught red-handed (or should we say, red-trunked?) eating sugarcane from a farm.

According to a report by Mothership quoting BoredPanda, the baby elephant tried to hide its bulky body behind a thin metal pole near the sugarcane field after being caught.

Understandably, hiding behind the pole just didn't work out for the poor elephant.
