We can feel your excitement, especially in light of the government’s recent hints that interstate travel ban will soon be lifted.
However, ‘balik kampung’ this time around will be slightly different from the previous ones.
“If you want to balik kampung to see elderly parents, do a RTK saliva test. Keep them safe,” Khairy said in a tweet on Wednesday (6 October).
Khairy added that as the government prepares for the transitioning of the pandemic to an endemic, it is now up to the rakyat to play their part.
“As we transition towards endemicity, we cannot police things anymore, such as setting up roadblocks to see if you have been fully vaccinated or tested.
“Much will now depend on personal responsibility and behaviour. I believe we can rise to the challenge in #ReopeningSafely,” he said in another tweet.
