Local horror movie 'Roh' will be Malaysia's submission under the International Feature Film category for next year's Oscars.
According to a report by Bernama, the film was chosen by the Film Selection Committee from the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas).
“The selection went through a detailed evaluation process based on filming criteria like direction, storyline, cinematography, screenplay, acting, music score, artistic elements and editing apart from adhering to the rules set by the organisers of the Oscars,” it said in a statement.'
The committee had earlier opened participation to local stakeholders to submit their entries for a chance at the 93rd Oscars which is scheduled to take place in April 2021.
